Registered Dietitian Jean LaMantia

Jean LaMantia is a registered dietitian, public speaker and author of three books on the topics of cancer, lymphedema and intermittent fasting. She works with individuals and groups with cancer, lymphedema and lipedema and is the creator and facilitator of Lymphedema Nutrition School and Lipedema Nutrition School. She also has programs for health care professionals. She writes a popular, fully-referenced blog on the topic of nutrition for cancer, lymphedema and lipedema, which you can read at www.jeanlamantia.com

Two Types of Meetings Each Month

Support meetings provide a safe, confidential space to share your personal experiences with lymphedema and lipedema, ask questions, and give and receive support. These sessions are not recorded to protect privacy. Educational meetings focus on evidence-informed topics related to lymphedema and lipedema nutrition and are presented by Jean LaMantia, registered dietitian. From time to time, guest speakers may join to address other important aspects of care. Educational sessions are recorded for later viewing.

  • How is the program delivered?

    We will be meeting over zoom - where the world is our classroom.

  • If I can't attend the live class will it be recorded?

    There are two types of meetings in the program - the sharing and support sessions which will not be recorded to allow for a more intimate sharing experience. The educational meetings will be recorded and available for replay.

  • Who can take the program?

    Anyone with lymphedema or lipedema can take the program. If you are a lymphedema professional, the best program for you would be Lymphedema Nutrition for Health Professionals.

  • Do I have to take Lymphedema Nutrition School first?

    No, unlike the past alumni program, this group will be open to participants who have not first done lymphedema/lipedema nutrition school, however, if you prefer to work through the foundational information first, then that would greatly enhance your experience.

  • How long does the program last?

    The program includes two sessions a month for 12 months for a total of 24 sessions plus access to the library of recorded webinars.

  • What currency is the program in?

    The program is in Canadian dollars.
